My main hope is that the collective wisdom of the Canadian voting population can see the Trumpian tactics of Poilievre for what they are and Carney’s qualifications and leadership for what they are. The polls so far indicate that is the case.

678708 reg Conservatives

2558 votes cast/2235 for pp

323 for someone else.

The 87 percent endorsement of 678,708 registered Conservatives. That's zero-point-three percent sampling. 2235 votes for PP, of 2558 votes cast. Leadership viewed through a straw. But PP feels heroic. He is an Edsel salesman at best. Mediocre, underwhelming, and unsubstantiative political record.

I can only imagine that thoughtful Conservatives are happy to allow an unitelligent person to continue as their leader. Carney is putting in place the Conservative agenda very well but calling it Liberal. I can hardly wait for Avi Lewis to begin his policy statements. You may not agree with them but least they will be intelligent.

How about Avi Lewis winning a seat first?

My son has a PhD from Oxford/Magdalen. Pollyanna and Scheer wouldn’t survive the first trimester at any of Oxon’s approximately 40 colleges and would be promptly sent up Headington Hill to Oxford Brookes University which is both separate from and inferior to any college at Oxford. Nonetheless, that latter fact hasn’t kept several AlberDUH wannabe day-dreamers I’ve encountered from insisting their Brookes degree is a true Oxon degree. Nope.

I can't stand Sneer or Pepe, but that's beside the point. A lot of people don't mind the fact that Scheer & Poilievre are unqualified hacks. However Carney is the right man for these difficult times. I'll take the true Oxford man WITH the appropriate experience.

Replacing Competence with Loyalty. 👁️👁️ Food for thought, not only regarding 🇨🇦Conservative spectrum, but also Neoliberal Economic Dogma.

Just the open premise of PP and AS' comments defines the depth, or rather lack there of, of their intellectual capacities.

This undermining strategy is also pathetically being deployed against influential economics YouTuber Gary Stevenson of Gary Economics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSs18iYE20w

It is a sign that the rich are getting nervous about being taxed.

https://www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/news-releases/2026/04/27/prime-minister-carney-announces-canada-strong-fund-canadas-first But then what do you make of taking working taxpayer money (when the gov is running a deficit) and using it to set up a Sovereign Wealth Fund to help fund private and international investments in "Nation Building Projects"? Normally those are set up using windfall profits from extractive industries......

Honestly, what has PeePee la Poo accomplished other than living on the taxpayer’s dime, accumulating an enormous pension, again off the backs of Canadians. He has also demonstrated to Canadians that he is a childish, name-calling brat. Fuck him.

It's the same old tactic Poilievre & Scheer have used before, during, after and now once again with Trump around..

More recently, they have nothing of substance to counter what Carney is offering as strategy.

As if they're going to school him on economic crisis management?
